Hello and welcome to Thursday Thoughts! It’s midweek check in time and so far this week has been going really well.
There was a lot of excitement last weekend as I celebrated my birthday and my niece’s baptism. A lot of my time was spent with family and friends between Friday and Sunday.
Sunday evening, I got my ducks in a row as much as I could, and Monday was spent practicing for the MilWordy challenge that began Tuesday, Sept 1st.
For those of you who are curious, MilWordy is trying to write a million words in a year. It is a challenge I’ve always wanted to take on, think about, and then usually fail at. Well, now I’m ready to dive into it all for better or worse. There are a ton of things I want to write, and there are a lot of things I want to get moving in January. This challenge should help me keep on track as well as challenge me to force myself back into the swing of things. Because that’s where I’m at with my writing. I need to take the leap and do the work. No more wishing and hoping.
Since I started writing again regularly, I’m feeling better mentally, and it’s lovely. Now I need to work on not letting everyone else throw me off. Practice blocking distractions more! So that is my goal for today as I take my work with me out of the house.
Wish me luck!
